Cedil Uganda is a social enterprise with a vision to uplift communities by providing impactful, sustainable solutions across multiple sectors, including education, healthcare, agriculture, and financial services. Since our founding in 2015, we have been dedicated to creating lasting change, particularly in underserved and vulnerable populations across Uganda. Our programs are designed to drive economic growth, promote social equity, and foster an environment of sustainability and resilience.
Our mission is clear: to empower disadvantaged groups, promote inclusive development, and contribute to the overall well-being of our society. We believe that by empowering individuals with the tools, knowledge, and resources they need, we can help them break the cycle of poverty and create a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Cedil Uganda began as a small grassroots initiative with a big vision — to address the most pressing issues affecting communities in Uganda. What started as a handful of volunteers working on a few projects has now grown into a multi-faceted organization with a network of partners, donors, and supporters, all working towards common goals.
In 2015, we launched our first program focused on improving access to education in rural areas. We worked closely with local schools to provide educational resources, teacher training, and student scholarships. The success of this initiative paved the way for future expansion into other sectors.
Over the years, we have steadily grown, expanding our reach and diversifying our programs. We began integrating healthcare services, focusing on maternal health, childhood immunizations, and providing health education in underserved communities. In response to the increasing need for food security, we introduced sustainable agricultural practices, providing farmers with training on climate-smart farming and helping them access markets for their produce.
As our organization expanded, so did our understanding of the challenges facing communities. We recognized the importance of financial inclusion and launched microfinance programs to help individuals and small businesses access capital. Today, we continue to be a trusted partner in the community, working with local governments, NGOs, and the private sector to deliver high-impact programs that transform lives.
